Today marks the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I!
100 years ago today, the First World War began. Armies across Europe clashed in what would become 4 years of hardship and turmoil for all involved. This event changed the political landscape of Europe and forever changed the 20th century. Take a moment today to reflect on all of those men and women who participated in this World War.

My 10mm Continental Army
They are finally finished and ready to take the field against the Redcoats. My 10mm Continental Army, painted by DJD Miniatures, look superb. I finished putting the last bits of flocking on and the flags today. Hopefully next month I can get them on the table for the first time.
I do have to say this about some of the Old Glory standard bearers. The flag poles are extremely brittle. Two were broken during shipment and one broke while I was basing it. The Pendraken figures have far more strength to them. For the ones that are missing their flag, I was thinking of cutting a piece of small metal wire and attaching it to the figure and the base and using that. Just have to go to the hobby store and pick some up.
Over all I'm pleased with the results.

Christmas arrived early!!
The great thing about these two games is being able to play them solitaire. It's too difficult at times to get together with the guys to play a board game. When we do set up a game night, we are playing miniature games.
Hopefully over the next few weeks I'll be able to break one of these out and play it.
