Today marks the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I!
100 years ago today, the First World War began. Armies across Europe clashed in what would become 4 years of hardship and turmoil for all involved. This event changed the political landscape of Europe and forever changed the 20th century. Take a moment today to reflect on all of those men and women who participated in this World War.

Too bad it was not in fact the "War to end all Wars"l; as mentioned previously, both of my grandfathers served as sergeants in the US Marine Corps in WW1. As Americans, they were fortunate to miss the first 3 years of it!
