The Spanish Battalions Granda and Cuenca arrive!!!

Two new Spanish battalions have arrived, the Granda and Cuenca units are ready to fight the British, Dutch and Portuguese.  

It amazes me that there is so little information on the Spanish for this timer period as they were the focal point of the entire war. Having said this I have to confide in you all that the flags are speculative. I took an idea and ran with it. I couldn't find anything on these units outside of their uniform colors.  Oh well.

First 2 WSS Spanish Battalions completed!

I've completed my first 2 Spanish Battalions for my WSS project.  Joining their French allies are the Walloon and Spanish Guard battalions.  Only 16 more battalions to paint!

The last 2 French Infantry Battalions are Done!!!!

I am kicking off 2018 correctly by announcing that I have finished all of the French infantry battalions for my Battle of Almanza project!!!!  WooHOO!!!!

The last two battalions that made it to roll call are the Daughine and Dillion units!!

Now it's time to start painting the 20 or so units of Spanish.  It may be a few days before I can start them as I have to do a little more research. I think I have narrowed down the colors of the uniforms but the OOB that I'm working from has units of Cavalry listed as Infantry so I have to find what was really there or at least come up with something to replace them.
