Today marks the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I!

100 years ago today, the First World War began.  Armies across Europe clashed in what would become 4 years of hardship and turmoil for all involved.  This event changed the political landscape of Europe and forever changed the 20th century.  Take a moment today to reflect on all of those men and women who participated in this World War.

  1. Too bad it was not in fact the "War to end all Wars"l; as mentioned previously, both of my grandfathers served as sergeants in the US Marine Corps in WW1. As Americans, they were fortunate to miss the first 3 years of it!
