Suits of armor at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC

Part of the 2 week vacation to NYC/NJ/PA which took us to Gettysburg, also found us at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.  I love this museum.  My Aunt took me there many years ago when the King Tut exhibit was traveling around the world and I fell in love with it.  This time I spend some extra time in the armor and weapons exhibit and took photos of everything I could.  Some of the photos didn't come out clearly due to the glare so I didn't post them.  Here is what did turn out and I hope you like them.

It may not be very clear but the hilt and guard are all individual sculpted people.

King Henry the VIII armor. Big dude.

This was armor for a woman.

  1. Great stuff, Victor. It is far too many decades since I have been to the Met - went there many times growing up, when we were less than a 60 minute train ride away!
